Hi All!
We’ve only got a few people from Highlands registered for the 2018 NCAC event hosted by CCR at the Z-Max Dragway. We need a minimum of 10 people driving both days to qualify for the club cup, but I’d like to see even more register if possible. I think we’ve got plenty of well-paxed drivers who would do well out there. Even if you’re not in a car with a good pax, no matter, just come out and represent Highlands as best you can. If you’ve never been to Z-Max for an event, it’s big. You could fit the franklin lot inside it 6 or 8 times over, easily.
If you have any questions about the event, reply on here or shoot me a message.

Sounds like fun,
-
Is there a way to see how many people are signed up using HSCC as their club?
-
Not officially. I’ve got a rough count going of 5 registered with 3-4 that I know are going to register hopefully today or tomorrow. I’d have to email ccr for an official count.
-
Current club totals are as follows:
- CCR – 64
- Triad – 29
- Tarheel – 18
- Highlands – 9
- NCR – 5
- Unaffiliated – 29
So that’s more people than I thought were registered, but that seems to be accurate. Let’s get a few more people registered to pad our total a bit more and give us a bit of a buffer if someone needs to bail out for any reason. As always, if you have any questions about this event, shoot me a message or comment on this thread.

Current club totals are as follows:
- CCR – 90
- Triad – 34
- NCR – 5
- Tarheel – 20
- Highlands – 13
- Unaffiliated – 31
I’m glad to see that we’re above 10, but I believe that they’re counting people who are attending at least one day, which means we’re at 11 (Jack, Drew, come on, do the second day…) I’d like to see us get even more, though. If you get preregistered by Sept. 30 at 11:59, you’ll get a free event T-shirt, as well as entry into numerous raffles that CCR has planned with some cool prizes from local motorsports companies. If you have any questions about the event, feel free to shoot me a message or comment on this thread.

Pre-registration has now closed. You can still attend if you like, it’ll just cost an extra 5$ on top of your registration costs.
Current club totals are as follows:
- CCR – 106
- Triad – 41
- Highlands – 14
- Tarheel – 20
- NCR – 6
- Unaffiliated – 41
If you want to get tech and registration out of the way on Friday, you can do so at the Holiday Inn Express, 7772 Gateway Lane NW, Concord, from 5-8pm. If you have Highlands annual tech (or annual from any of the 5 NCAC clubs,) it will be accepted. Otherwise, you’ll have to get that done either Friday evening or Saturday morning.
Thanks to everyone for getting registered for this event. If you all have any questions, I’ll be doing early waivers at the gate. Otherwise, you can probably find me parked under the bleachers (I highly recommend parking here, btw.)
See you all bright and early Saturday morning!

Not sure where we ended up but I had a blast. ZMax is a great place to go play in a parking lot. Its big, the facility is really nice, the pavement seems to have enough grip and is pretty smooth so it didn’t do much to my tires at all. The club did a really good job as well. There were a few small glitches but overall a really nice 2 day event.

Glad you had fun, Matt. Thanks for coming out!
Thanks to everyone from Highlands that came out. I was really proud to see our club make a strong appearance at an NCAC that wasn’t hosted by us, even if we did only get 9 people to show up (Dammit! So close…) I think it really goes a long way towards showing the other clubs that we can actually provide some genuine competition at a big event. I hope to see even more of us show up next year!

<< even if we did only get 9 people to show up>>
The other folks sure missed a fun track. You would have had 7 (or less) without this post. It wasn’t on our radar until I saw the post. Thanks
-
I’m glad I posted it then, haha! And yeah, it was a fun track, even if me and Sawyer were oversteering everywhere.
-
That track had good grip but the speeds were so much higher than I am used to. I didn’t get any kind of feel for it until the second day.
That set of S’s yesterday was the most fun I have ever had driving a car.
